Terms of Service
Effective October 21, 2026. These terms cover your use of Tonight in Boston (tonightinboston.com). By using the site, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
What this site is
Tonight in Boston is an independent local guide to events, places and news in Boston and nearby. We aren’t the organizer, venue or seller for anything we list, and listing something isn’t an endorsement unless we say it’s one of our picks.
Listings can change
We check every listing against the venue’s or organizer’s own page and show when we checked it. Events still get rescheduled, sell out, change prices or get canceled, and businesses change their hours. Always confirm with the venue or organizer before you go or buy. Here’s how we check.
Tickets and other websites
- We don’t sell tickets. Ticket and event links go to the venue’s or organizer’s chosen seller, and any purchase is between you and that seller, under its terms and refund policy.
- Links to other websites are for your convenience. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, prices or privacy practices.
- The site may show ads from Google AdSense. Ads are labeled and aren’t our recommendations.
Things you send us
When you use our contact form, submit an event or list your business:
- You confirm the information is accurate and that you’re allowed to share it, including any image you send.
- You let us publish, edit, shorten and check it against official sources, and to keep or remove it at our discretion. We may decline any submission, and we never charge to list an event.
- Don’t send anything unlawful, misleading, hateful or someone else’s private information.
How we handle the personal details in your submissions is in our privacy policy.
Our content
The articles, guides, listings text and design of this site belong to Tonight in Boston. You’re welcome to share links and to quote short passages with credit and a link back. Please don’t republish whole articles or pages, or copy the site in bulk, without our permission.
Photos and images
- Many photos come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under the license shown in each credit. You can reuse those photos under the same license, crediting the photographer, not us.
- Event flyers and images supplied by venues and organizers belong to them.
- If you own an image on the site and want it credited differently or removed, contact us and we’ll fix it promptly.
Using the site fairly
- Don’t try to break into the site, interfere with how it runs, or overload it with automated requests.
- Don’t use our forms to send spam or advertising.
- Search engines and personal-use tools that respect our robots.txt are fine.
Corrections
If something on the site is wrong, tell us. We fix mistakes as soon as we can confirm them.
No warranties
The site and everything on it are provided as is. We work hard to keep it accurate, but we don’t promise that every listing, time, price or detail is complete, current or error-free, or that the site will always be available.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tonight in Boston isn’t liable for any loss or damage that comes from using the site or relying on its information, including canceled or changed events, ticket purchases from other sellers, or your visits to venues and businesses we list.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
