Downtown Boston at Night

Downtown is where most first nights out in Boston start: the theaters on Tremont and Washington Streets, comedy and drinks around Faneuil Hall, and free city events on Boston Common and City Hall Plaza.

Everything on in the area for the next three weeks is below, with the big theaters first in line: the Wang, the Shubert and The Wilbur. For food after a show, our late-night food guide has kitchens open past 11 nearby.

Getting there is easy: Park Street, Downtown Crossing, Boylston and State stations are all within a few blocks. More detail on the theaters is on the Theater District page.
