The Huntington Theatre Company is premiering Adia & Clora Snatch Joy, the final play in Mfoniso Udofia’s Ufot Family Cycle, from November 24 to December 13 at the Huntington Theatre, 264 Huntington Avenue.

It’s an a cappella folk opera, with book and lyrics by Udofia and music by Michael Ellis Ingram, directed by Awoye Timpo. Set in the South Carolina marshes, it follows two dutiful daughters, Clora Abernathy and Adiaha Ufot, working out what it means to be good to themselves.

The Huntington offers $25 tickets for full-time students, a limited number of $29 tickets, and half-price tickets for members of its under-40 program, teachers and active military. More stage shows are on our theater page.
